RPGaDay #8: Obscure

For #RPGaDay 2019, the eighth word prompt is Obscure.

What is the most obscure RPG I've ever played or GM'ed? I purchased a game called #DragonStorm by #BlackDragonPress at a Pittsburgh Comic Convention in the late 90s.

DragonStorm is an RPG combined with a collectible card game (CCG). The base starter set has the player character cards to create a human dragon shapeshifter, one of the four types of shifters created by destructive roiling storms called dragon storms. There are dwarf gargoyles, elf unicorns, and human werewolves as well. Orcs are another race of player character that can be played but can't shift. The game master has his own set of cards to create adventures. I ran the #ComingoftheStormAdventure and my players weren't too thrilled about the limited character creation options.
This style fits a board game more effectively. I'd say #DescentJourneysintotheDark has a similar style with both the players and the overlord building their decks as the campaign continues by purchasing new cards. It has a definite card based RPG feel despite being a board game.
