RPGaDay #22: Lost

For #RPGaDay2019, the twenty-second word prompt is Lost.

I have a feeling of loss for all the incomplete lost campaigns. Not the ones where the whole party died. The ones where we had a goal and the game just disappeared. Like how Jebeddo Ningel's story never got completed. Or my Dwarf Paladin never got to find a new planet to colonize in Spelljammer after the loss of his home planet.
That particular quest was like Lost in Space. We had a ship that was like Noah's Ark carrying around all the last of the surviving fantasy races like humans, dwarves, halflings, elves, etc. We thought we were the last of our race. We went from planet to planet trying to find a new world. And every time the Halfling Rogues would find a way to sabotage the new world (we had our own Mr. Smiths). We flew from planet to planet, my character trying to make friends and save each planet while the rogues screwed up world after world usually by unleashing ancient evils destined to destroy the world by stealing their cursed treasure, as my character just kept trying to find a new home for our people. The kicker was my paladin couldn't just kill the evil halflings, they were the last of their race, and the captain of the ship would not allow it. At least my character had a harem of three Dwarf Cleric sisters and was ordered to continue the dwarf race by all means necessary by the captain. Now that I think about it...maybe it was more like Lexx. Characters concerned with their survival and propagation of their species where every place we visit is doomed.
