RPGaDay #19: Scary

For #RPGaDay2019, the nineteenth word prompt is Scary.

I probably used up my best GM scary story on the Door day this month. As for a player, Zachariah LaGrange came back from hell riding his mare familiar Luciphia outrunning los diablos to escape from an Out of the Fire into the Frying Pan card play. But he came back changed and afraid of fire with a Pyrophobia hindrance.  My wife, Chessie, was playing Fuego, a pyromaniac with a flamethrower. The first time he saw the contraption spit fire he nearly died from a heart attack. So Zachariah had to blind himself to not see the flames and let Luciphia guide him around, sort of like Mr. Magoo. If he couldn't hear Fuego or smell her scent of perfume mixed with sulfur and oil, he would take the blindfold off. This is the sort of situation that an hindrance in #SavageWorlds really hurts you even though it makes perfect plot sense.
