The Overmind's Man O' War Flagship

As the Omegans teleported inside the ship, The Overmind reached out to them with his mind, scanning their psyches while the ship's AI scanned their physical bodies. The mental and physical schematics were sent to 3d printers. Then V'sori scientists printed out plastic and machine body copies of the supervillains. Ruin was turned into four different clones based on his human and elemental forms! They even printed copies of The Blood King with a Wheeljack clone inside and two mechanical junkyard dogs!

[I changed this from the concept of ID clone duplicates in the Necessary Evil book. Rather than just one clone, I had the V'sori scientists load toner (Metal and plastic) for a full round after printing. Then in rounds 2, 4, etc. they made more clones which made the scenario more difficult for the Omegans. To stop the cloning, they needed do one of three things: kill the V'sori scientist controlling the machines, break the printers, or break the computers. I also made four clones of Ruin which were all like 10 power point individual villains. I also copied their sidekicks and minions.]

The Junkyard Dog and her dogs exchanged fire with her clone and her dogs.
Ruin's clones surged forward and his Wind Form clone taunted him, "First we will kill you and then everyone else!"
Ruin glared at the clone with steely eyes.

[Kevin played Face Off to block the Taunt.]

Bubbles ran towards the force field and fired her Vibro Saw but it seemed to be ineffective.
Bubble's clone ran in front of her and taunted, "You are about to become one with The Overmind. Rejoice!" But her taunt and attempted mind control failed.
The Overmind's bodyguards were a combination of V'sori and K'tharen DNA. Their blue-green skin wrinkled and thin lips parted in a smile showing wicked rows of teeth as they approached and flanked Bubbles on the left and right. They slashed with their Vibro Swords. One of them struck her but interacted with her Energy Knife, shorting out the Energy Knife and Vibro Sword.

[Chessie played Lucky Break]

The Blood King fired and killed the Wind Form and True Form Ruin's clones. The Blood King clone fired at The Blood King but Wheeljack prevented it from going out of control.

Ruin ran near the computers and dropped his grenade belt. Ruin changed into his Wind Form and summoned a storm outside. An ion storm hit, causing turbulence.

[Think Star Trek when the ship shakes. Only characters with the Steady Hands edge were not affected by a -2 penalty on Agility-based Trait rolls.]

V'sori scientists scrambled to load more metal and plastic and start another clone print job.
The Overmind began to integrate with a gigantic metal body.

The Junkyard Dog's minions blew up their cyberdog counterparts with their mouth fusion rifles. The Junkyard Dog animated the metal remnants to make more dogs.  She ran at The Blood King clone and punched its legs off. A prone Wheeljack pilot was then smashed by her foot.

[Bobbie played Crushing Blow to knock down the robot clone with 37 x 2 = 74 damage!]

The Junkyard Dog clone taunted, "I'll do to you what you did to my dogs!" The clone's punch crushed her animated dog, a second punch and a kick left The Junkyard Dog swaying with bruised ribs.

[Bobbie played Second Wind with Destiny's Child to survive the combo, removing three wounds from the second hit.]

Bubbles used her Vibro Saw to slash in a circle, killing her clone and the Overmind's two bodyguards. Then she slashed at the force field, causing minor damage.

[Chessie spent a Bennie to play Get Savage for Improved Sweep.]

The Fire Form Ruin clone taunted, "Fire feeds on Wind!" It tossed two fireballs at him but Ruin avoided them. The Earth Form Ruin clone taunted "Earth will bury Air!" but couldn't reach him to strike in melee.
The Blood King shot a V'sori scientist and used its tail to destroy a printer.
The V'sori scientists reprinted the cybernetic dogs, The Blood King clone but without a Wheeljack pilot, and True Form and Wind Form Ruin clones. The Bubbles printer was destroyed so a second Bubbles was not created.

[I also made a stipulation that only one clone could exist at a time, so only defeated clones could be reprinted. Sort of like the Duplicate power in a way.]

The Overmind continued to integrate with the robot.

The Junkyard Dog used her power to form a massive metal dog from the remains of The Blood King clone then she crushed her clone with a three-hit combo. Her cyberdogs moved forward but didn't have a clear shot.

The cyberdog clones fired at The Junkyard Dog. Their fusion rifle shots left her armor melted and smoke pouring out her chest. Broken and defeated, she fell over and her animated object dog fell apart, burying her.

Ruin turned into his fire form and grabbed hold of a pillar. He sent a fireball at his grenade stash and it exploded. The explosion destroyed two printers, two computers, two V'sori scientists, and one of the cyberdog clones. He sent a fireball with his other hand at his Fire Form clone and his more intense fire somehow managed to melt the clone.
Bubbles smashed through the force field and hit the platform the gargantuan mech was on twice. Then she was shocked as the force field went back up behind her.

[Another little thing I did to increase the difficulty was a regenerating force field.]

The Blood King fired on its clone but couldn't get through its armor. The Blood King's tail smashed a V'sori scientist into the concrete wall. The Blood King's clone fired but also couldn't pierce The Blood King's armor.
The surviving V'sori scientists scrambled to load more metal and plastic and start another clone print job.
The Overmind continued to integrate with the machine body but something seemed wrong with the transition...

Bubbles touched the V'sori console and turned off the force field. Then the console exploded as it was touched by non-V'sori hands but somehow Bubbles was unharmed. Bubbles slashed at the platform a second time before running away behind a pillar and The Blood King.
The Junkyard Dog's cyberdogs moved forward and killed the last enemy cyberdog while leaving an Earth Form Ruin clone chipped but not defeated.

The Blood King fired against its clone. Bubbles barely dodged out of the way of friendly fire but the other shots managed to blow up the Blood King clone.

[Randall played Teamwork to add a bonus to his action and Bubble's next action.]

Ruin moved back out of the range of his clones while changing to his wind form and starting to summon whirlwind.  Ruin's Earth Form clone couldn't Unshake so took cover behind a pillar while the True Form Ruin clone moved forward and joined him.
The Overmind finally integrated with the gargantuan machine body to become The Robot Overmind. It ripped the walls off of the chamber to get into the main room.

[Randall played Villainous Verbosity with Destiny's Child.]

The Robot Overmind screamed out due to the partially failed transformation," I will kill you all. I will bombard your beloved Earth leaving only Star City remaining as your species' tombstone."

Bubbles ran at The Robot Overmind and went for the brain connections. Using everything she had she barely managed to shake the monstrosity.
Ruin dropped the Whirlwind and used his wind form to rush and strike down the last V'sori scientist to prevent any more Ruin clones from being created. Ruin's clones turned around and went after him. The True Form Ruin clone taunted him saying, "Tell our father I will complete our mission in your stead." Then he slashed at Ruin with his replica katana and Vibro Saw.

[Kevin played You Have To Do Better Than That to prevent the katana from hitting.]

The Junkyard Dog's cyberdogs shot and killed the Earth Form Ruin clone.
The Blood King fired on The Robot Overmind but couldn't get through its armor. It smashed the 3d printer with its tail.

The Robot Overmind was in a berserk rage and slashed at Bubbles with its robot claws but Bubbles dodged one with super speed and took a gut hit that left her winded.

Bubbles recovered and slashed at the brain of The Robot Overmind.  With her Vibro Saw she severed the three nerve connections and removed the brain with her hands, blowing a bubble in triumph, as the armored shell fell.

[Kevin played Deja Vu with Destiny's Child to get Deadly Blow out to double Chessie's damage of 39 x 2 =78!]

The True Form Ruin Clone held its hands to its ears screeching in pain, as Ruin sliced him in half with his katana saying, "Say hello to dad."

With the V'sori Overmind defeated, the Omegans took over The Overmind's Man O' War flagship. Wheeljack sent out V'sori Mantas to strike the rest of the V'sori fleet, cutting a path for the Man O' War to land on the V'sori homeworld and start their own invasion of the V'sori Empire!

Maps

DramaScape's The Core is used for The Overmind's Man O' War Flagship. The Core is perfect for this scenario. The Core itself has a blue hex area that can represent the Overmind's force field and the machine core can represent the chamber where The Overmind is integrating with the gargantuan robot body for The Omega Contingency. It is also a long but not wide map; even my speedster needed two rounds to get to the back of the map. This gives the boss some time to get the five rounds in to get the transformation done.

Miniatures

Figures and vehicles include those from HeroClix by WizKids and Necessary Evil Figure Flats by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. Small machines used are print-outs from DramaScape's Modular Rocketship. Gold Robot Mech used for The Robot Overmind is from Interface Zero 2.0 Iconic Figure Flats.
