RPGaDay #4: Share

For #RPGaDay 2019, the fourth word prompt is Share.

The first thing to share is #DramaScape. Simon Powell (art), Stefan Schloesser (blueprint maps art and writer of The City of Faymouth), Vidar Edland (editing), Aaron Huss (layout, rules help, editing), Mark Stout (SciFi NPC cards), Dan Roy (winner of the Old School Dungeon 02 map contest), and I (writing, editing) have helped create maps, miniatures, blueprints, tokens, cards as well as products for Savage Worlds and FATE in PDF and JPG for VTT use. We have also made print-on-demand (POD) maps, cards, and posters. Over 400+ products on #drivethrurpg!

The fourth thing to share today is to talk a bit about the two campaigns I am running right now. The one with the most recent sessions is #Returnto50Fathoms which is me returning to a game that I won as a player when Ted was GM and am now GMing for mostly newbie players including my brother-in-law, his wife, and my oldest stepdaughter. For those who don't know, 50 Fathoms is a game where the world of Caribdus is flooding and it is up to the player characters to find out why and how to stop it. What makes #50Fathoms so great is that it is just a masterpiece of a plot point adventure with so many different branching paths based on first where the players go and second what they do and react to what they find there. It is also good for new players because it mostly uses core rules with a little bit extra in terms of edges, powers, and setting appropriate gear so it doesn't have a lot of extra bits for the new players to remember. The group is currently trying to escape Dunich alive.
The other game I am currently running is #SagaoftheGoblinHorde which I sometimes abbreviate to SaGa. Which is a sort of joke for my oldest players who remember the SaGa Frontier playstation days but it is also a lot easier to type (we used to play that game a lot!). For those who don't know, Saga of the Goblin Horde is a game where the players play as goblins in a world where they are hunted by humans. As one of my players so eloquently put it, "This is reverse Dungeons & Dragons right?" As goblins, the characters are particularly squishy, although only Bobbie has lost characters (five in five sessions total, but three in the last one). Kevin's character Glub has come close a couple of times with three wounds. The group was about to start a game of kickball but then we went on a long summer hiatus. I am hoping to get back to the game soon.

The last thing I'll share today is my patreon. If you like the blog and recaps, consider making a tip to the jar.
