The most famous Noble in all of our campaigns is probably Grof, the Grael noble from Arfk in #50Fathoms in Ted's campaign. Grof was betrothed to an ice princess of Arfk. Due to a Love Interest card play earlier in the campaign in Deiking, Mai Cai (mother of So Cai) had fallen in love with him. She sent Kei'ali to assassinate the ice princess and prevent their marriage. Kei'ali managed to kill her and Grof was always suspicious of her from then on. When Grof got the chance, he took the Key of Destiny from her and threw her body into the flames of a fireplace. Her hatred for Grof brought her back as a servant of the Sea Hags but her love for Tellah allowed her to fight their control and redeem herself in the end. Grof meanwhile married Mai Cai in order to gain her assassin guild for himself and use her dowry to finance his ironclad warship built in Arfk.
