RPGaDay #17: One

For #RPGaDay2019, the seventeenth word prompt is One.

       
       You know what we all think when we see One.

        The One is definitely a major trope of fiction, both fantasy and scifi. My gaming experience with the One was in JP's #DungeonsandDragons 3.0 quest early in Jebeddo's career. Which now that I think about it has a lot of parallels with #GoodOmens. Jebeddo Ningel saved an elf boy entangled in a vine maze who turned out to be the big bad evil guy (BBEG) destined to destroy the world (an anti-christ like figure). We then became allied with Tad, a dorky human fighter, whose destiny was to save the world from the BBEG (Does this seem familiar at all?). But it didn't turn out the way fate intended. Tad died through our actions and inaction in combat. The world was doomed. Jebeddo was a decent person who had doomed the world by doing what he thought was the right thing. It was all his fault. So he decided to destroy the world first, before the BBEG...
