DAY 119
PLACE: COAKER MOUNTAINS QUARRY
WEATHER: OVERCAST
TIME OF DAY: NIGHT
The group rested the night before resuming their trip up to the zenith of the mountain. Horventerous discovered that the ring was a magical Captain's Ring and gave the ring to Red Pirate Roberts.
DAY 120
PLACE: COAKER MOUNTAINS QUARRY
WEATHER: SUNNY
TIME OF DAY: MORNING
Rosetta ran into the Medieval Quarry and told the Captain that a fort had been spotted on a peninsula overlooking the Kieran Sea bristling with guns. It was overlooking a promontory that could spot their junk if it left the fjord on a clear day. Rosetta decided to help them acquire the bottle of air from the zenith of the mountain.
[Chessie played Uh Oh! right out the gate.]
DAY 120, SCENE 1
PLACE: COAKER MOUNTAINS SUMMIT
WEATHER: SUNNY
TIME OF DAY: AFTERNOON
Rosetta cast fly and flew up over the mountain. Horventerous and Natsu Nara were confused. No Atani elementalist had ever existed in the history of Caribdus and they became suspicious. Natsu Nara cast wall walker to get up the mountainside. Unk grabbed Suzu and Suzu grabbed Smithers. Unk used his hook to ascend the cliff face. Horventerous climbed the mountain slowly. Red Pirate Roberts attached her grapple gun and her sailors attempted to climb up. Unfortunately, two of them failed. One of them was snatched in mid fall by a gargantuan bird. The other one fell to the ground with a crunching sound, and then was picked up by a smaller bird.
[Mac (Summer's friend playing Autumn's character) played Reinforcements.]
The birds dropped the sailors into their nest which had six bird babies that set about eating their new "food".

Natsu Nara sent an earthen cannonball at the biggest bird but it bounced off and hit the smaller of the two birds yet still seemed to do little damage.
Rosetta summoned a burst of air that buffeted the nest, killing the bird babies and putting the two sailors out of their misery. Beyond wings fluttering, it didn't seem to affect the two giant birds much.

Unk and Suzu rushed at the smaller bird. Unk did a cartwheel and plunged his long sword into the left side of the bird while missing with his hook hand due to the cartwheel's momentum. Suzu attempted to spear the avian but the bird dodged the thrust.
Horventerous climbed up and drew La Espada de Vampiro.
Red Pirate Roberts had Smithers and Rafael attack the smaller bird but they missed their spear attacks. Red Pirate Roberts and Emilio climbed up the rope.
The male avian failed to shake off its wound to the ribs and screeched in pain. The female avian swiped its claw at Rosetta. Rosetta took a claw to the midsection but her leather armor held.
[Mac played Second Wind after soaking to "avoid" the attack.]
Rosetta cast deflection to try and save her skin from a second swing by the big angry bird.
Natsu Nara sent a massive earthen cannonball at the big bird. It smashed its left wing and cracked its left ribs, knocking out the big avian. Natsu Nara's forehead was covered in sweat from his concentration on the spell.
[Summer played Arcane Spike.]
Red Pirate Robert's sailors stabbed the smaller bird to death with a flurry of spear thrusts.
[With Unk + Suzu + 3 sailors, max gang up +4, +4 huge, +2 wild attack. So even an extra with a d6 fighting can easily hit and Raise at +10!]

Red Pirate Roberts bottled air from the Coaker Mountain's peak. The group found a cutlass and 1,800 pieces of eight in the nest. They harvested the birds for food.
[Chessie played Pandora's box, so Unk gets a +2 damage, +1 parry short sword, and I am back to drawing Adventure Cards lol. Summer played Buried Treasure which effectively quadrupled the pieces of eight amount with the addition of a second roc to the fight.]
The group wall walked, glided, or climbed down the cliff face. They rested the night at around the midpoint of the mountain trip. Horventerous got dehydrated by the cool mountain air again.
DAY 121
PLACE: COAKER MOUNTAINS FORT
WEATHER: SUNNY
TIME OF DAY: DUSK
The group had to sneak by the fort to get back to the ship. Natsu Nara cast burrow to get most of the people through unseen and the rest snuck by using stealth by hugging the mountain and moving in shadows.
DAY 121
PLACE: KIERAN SEA
WEATHER: FIERCE STORM
TIME OF DAY: NIGHT
[Chessie played Foul Winds.]
A nasty storm blew in and the group decided to risk it rather than wait for clear weather to potentially get shot at by the fort. Red Pirate Roberts easily navigated through the storm and Horventerous was reinvigorated by the constant rain.
DAY 122
PLACE: KIERAN SEA
WEATHER: STORMY
The group traveled to Paltos to the south.

WEATHER: STORMY
TIME OF DAY: NIGHT
The group headed to a bar called The Coconut Grove except for the Domingo brothers as Manuel was nursing Luis back to health and the escaped prisoners who refused to step foot on Kiera soil again from fear of being recaptured let alone the prison city of Paltos. The captain opened a fine cask of wine she had been saving to allow for a celebration of the completion of the four elemental pillar quests. Nothing left to do except collect their pay in Bluth's Crown.
[Red Pirate Roberts used the Fine Wine card.]
Unk lost 100 pieces of eight trying to defeat the bartender's monkape Dead-eye in a throwing contest.
Unk then spent 25 pieces of eight on a Masaquani escort named Morgana May who had long curly blue hair, green eyes, and a tan brown skin color wearing a lei, coconut bra, and a green hula skirt.
[Chessie played the Love Interest card. And yeah she had four plays (Enemy + Uh Oh! + Reinforcements + Base 1)]
Natsu Nara grilled Rosetta about how she could cast elementalist spells. She claimed she found a tome in the Flotsam Sea that she had studied it below deck for the last three months.
[What she left out is that it was found on an Octopon Warlock...]
DAY 123
PLACE: PALTOS
WEATHER: OVERCAST
TIME OF DAY: MORNING-NOON
Unk took Morgana May back to the ship in the morning. Suddenly the junk and The Coconut Grove were surrounded by Paltos city guards...

The map for Scene 1 is part of DramaScape's The Stairs map. I printed out a few pages from the bottom of the map to create a mountain cliff face and a flat zenith for the top of the mountain where the roc's nest was located.
MINIATURES
Tri-folds used are from the 50 Fathoms Figure Flat Pack PDF and a metal 50 Fathoms miniature by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. Heroclix by WizKids are used for some figures. Some figure flats/top downs are from Deadly Missions by Grey Matter Games. I bought the Cloud figure for Summer for Christmas. I used the griffin figure flat from DramaScape's Fantasy Creatures Paper Miniatures for the initial roc.
